Five curiosities you may know about the Antarctica.

Good morning everyone!

Today we have decided to add a small post of the continent we have not spoken about yet, the Antarctica. So here you have 5 trivia or data about the largest continent in the planet that may already be familia for you:

  1. It is the coldest place on earth. The lowest recorded temperature was -93.2ºC.
  2. The Antarctica contains 80% of freshwater on the planet. This is because of the great amount of ice.
  3. It does not belong to any country and it is only used for scientific purposes.
  4. There is ice of more than a million years old.
  5. Antarctica. Aerial View.
  6. Million years ago, the Antarctica was a tropical forest
If we had to choose one from the five, we would choose the first one. Could there be a colder place? Considering that water boils at 100°C, -93.2 degrees below zero ... would be almost the opposite temperature!...Amazing!

We will continue with more curiosities in later posts.

See you!
