Aircraft at ground level!

Good afternoon everyone!

Today we bring you a post about a very noisy Caribbean beach which is subject of multiple visits simply for being next to a runway. This is Maho Beach.

Maho Beach. Plane landing.
Maho Beach is a beach located on the Dutch side of the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten and is famous for the Princess Juliana International Airport, near the beach.

Due to the proximity of low-flying aircraft, the place is very famous, because this is one of the few places in the world where planes can be seen right at the end of the runway. Watching the planes pass just over the beach is such a popular activity in the this place that in bars there are timetables of daily arrivals and departures of flights, and the Sunset Bar and Grill has a speaker that emits radio-transmissions between pilots and the control tower of the airport.

Danger sign. Maho Beach
Despite this, there is a danger of people in the beach been thrown through the air towards the water due to air flow reactor as the plane takes off. Local government warns that the takeoffs and landings of aircraft can cause "serious damage and / or death".

We leave you a video of the landing of a plane passing a few meters over the beach:

So travelers, if you can enjoy this show, beware!. If any of you have already experienced this, please tell us your experience!.

See you!
