Hello everyone!
Today we say goodbye with a post about a place from another world, a place of a film location that it may well be the scene of Star Wars, the Pinnacles Desert.
This place of Martian appearance is a desert located in our antipodes, in the western part of the Australian continent and which bears the name of the Pinnacles Desert.
This desert is located within the boundaries of the Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes and is open to the public, so you can visit it. It receives about 250,000 visits per year and the entry costs around 10 Australian dollars if we choose to drive, and 4 Australian dollars per person if we choose to go by bus.
The best time to visit the park is in Spring (from August to October) and the best time of the day is during morning, as the play of lights creates beautiful effects of light and shadow on the pinnacles.
Regarding the fauna that can be found there, note that most of the animals here are nocturnal, although emus and kangaroos can be seen during the day, especially in the evening and early morning.
See you!

The desert is an unusual place, because we find sharp rocks several meters high and of different shapes that emerge from the dunes. These rocks are irregularly shaped pinnacles, very rough limestone formations that thanks to the accumulation of shells of marine molluscs in a previous geological epoch were formed.
